Band Leader Joe Granado

….began Trumpet at the age of ten, and was influenced by a great Hispanic Culture. Having participated in several jazz festivals, including  competitions at the Berkeley College Jazz Festival, Reno Jazz Festival, and the Arizona Jazz Festivals held at Mesa Community College, Joe joined the Latin Express, a local cumbia band that played several night clubs and other venues during his Junior and Senior years. He has since played with several other bands, including the Latinos, and as a guest performer,with several local acts. Joe received a full scholarship to an Arizona College and was a member of the Arizona State Sun Devil Marching Band and also invited to be a member of the United States Marine Corp Band

Getting into his Christian roots, Joe has traveled to several foreign nations as an Evangelist/Pastor, and International Conference Speaker, also traveling across the United States and taken his musical gifts around the world, Leading Tierra Cristiana a Christian Oldies  and Tex-Mex Band for several years in the ninety’s and has in recent years been a part of several worship team horn section.

Joe is also the owner and founder of Peoples Music of Arizona a non-profit 501c3 Organization since 2002. Who’se mission is to provide free music instruction to people of all ages. Also a studio musician having in his most recent credits recorded several songs in the studio with DJ Kane and Ricky Rick of the Kumbia Kings.Also collabarating in the studio with Chris Perez (Selena’s) former husband. His music can be heard on the samples page of his website. Joe also recently shared the stage with Mexican culture Icon Olga Breeskin. Joe is currently sizzling up Phoenix leading his current band, Orquesta Kaliente, cranking out some of the best salsa dura and Latin Jazz Arizona has to offer.
